Youm-e-Takbir (Urdu: یوم تکبیر‬‎; lit. The day of greatness) is celebrated as a national day in Pakistan on May 28 in commemoration of Chagai-I and Chagai-II when Pakistan detonated seven nuclear devices in response to India's five detonations of Pokhran-II in 1998, 17 days after the incident. The tests made Pakistan the seventh nation to possess nuclear weapons, and the first in the Muslim world.[1][2][3][4][5]

This phrase is recited by Muslims in many different situations. For example, when they are very happy, during times of extreme stress, to express approval, to praise a speaker, or as a battle cry (contemporarily used by Pakistan Army). The word is also used in Muslim prayers. The Government of Pakistan asked for proposals from the nation to decide a name by which the day should be celebrated. A country wide campaign was launched to select the name for this particular day. Thousands of names were propose by millions of Pakistanis. This name was suggested by more than one persons. 28 May Youm e Takbeer Speech In English

So in the 28 May Youm e Takbeer speech, first of all I would like to take a flash back on the history of Youm e Takbeer background. It was the tenure of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto in 1972 when Pakistan first time felt the need of having a nuclear reactor in order to revival of Pakistan. He Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and the Chairman of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) Munir Ahmed Khan were the very first humans who decided to inaugurate the nuclear plants in Pakistan. So in this way the PAEC with the collaboration of British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL) and Carcinoembryonic Antigen (CAE) start working on this project to build the plutonium and nuclear plants in Pakistan. Later in 1974 due to the influence of India the BNFL cancelled the contract to work for Pakistan while in 1977 the CEA also deterred this contract due to the influence of US secretary and other western authorities. Later that Pakistan also contracted with France to carry on this project but in 1978 the France also canceled the agreement and then all the responsibilities brings upon the shoulders of Muslim scientists. In the way Doctor Abdul Qadeer Khan was the most nominated person who give his efforts, skill and dexterity and final invent the nuclear power plant in Pakistan in 1980 and start working to invent the nuclear bomb for Pakistan.

President of Pakistan Zia Ul Haq was the first person who declares and introduce this world in 1980 that Pakistan has became the nuclear power. He said “we are nukes”. It was really shocking news for the entire world including other Muslim countries and the western countries like India and US. Well that time the world was thinking that it might be a rumor but when India detonate five nuclear bombs to show of Pakistan about their atom bomb, the president of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Naqaz Sharif decided to detonate seven nuclear bombs at Chagai hills. So after the prime order of Nawaz Sharif right on 28th May 1998 the Pakistan government along with cameras, media, and authorities from other world traveled to Chagai for the first test of nuclear bomb (Chahai 1) of Pakistan. It was massive and the whole world especially India was words less and shocked to see the results of Pakistan’s most power full nuclear bomb.

Since that time till date we are atomic power and world is fearful from us to see our country with black eye. Yes of course! It is really a great invention of our scientist and thanks to God who bestowed us with this blessing in form of nuclear bomb. We also thank to those scientist who present their time and life for this great great invention for the revival of Pakistan. Hence this is the 28 May Youm e Takbeer speech in English with quotes.
